Art After Dark in SLO

As a community, we tend to focus a lot of energy on the amazing food and wine we have. But the Central Coast really is so much more than that. We have great outdoors – hiking, golfing, kayaking – we have tons historically significant places – Hearst Castle, Santa Margarita Barn – and tons of arts!

Art After Dark is a great initiative put on San Luis Obispo County Arts Council to encourage the creation and appreciation for the arts in SLO County. The first Friday of every month, visitors from around county (and around the world) converge on downtown San Luis Obispo to celebrate the galleries and artists in the region.

Expect to walk around to both traditional (galleries, arts spaces) and non-traditional (restaurants, salons, boutiques) venues to see emerging local artists as well as internationally acclaimed artists.

The next event takes place on July 1 from 6-9 PM. You can also drop in on any first Friday of the month.
