Central Coast Chili Challenge
Remember when we celebrated the Cambria Chili Cook Off and Car Show way back when? Well, in my book, there really isn’t much better than a good chili cook off, so we have another one for you. After you’ve imbibed your fill at the Brew at the Zoo on Saturday, fill your tummy with the yummiest chili around on Sunday. From 11am – 5pm, stop by Biddle Park in Arroyo Grande for the fun.
This Cook Off is the real deal – it’s sponsored by the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club and sanctioned by the International Chili Society (see! These people are serious about their chili). They’ll be all sorts of fabulous prizes for the cooks and loads of yummy tasters for those of you attending. You can even put in your big for the best pot and see who wins the People’s choice competition. The entrance fee is $5 and lucky for the little ones in your family, kids under 12 get in for free. For the price of admission you’ll get 5 free tastings (but don’t worry, if that doesn’t fill you up, you can always buy 10 more tastings for only $5). There will be loads of kids games, food booths, a car show, and guaranteed tons of fun!
What are you waiting for! See how helpful we can be – you asked for it and we planned your whole weekend with awesome local events around town. The only problem is that after this weekend of stuffing yourself to the gill you’re going to need a whole other weekend just to recuperate (and maybe visit the gym).
Did you check our the Zoo and Chili Cook Off this weekend? What’d you think? What else did you do with your family?
