Central Coast Gets A Mobile Olive Oil Harvester

We've long been a fan of Olea Farms and their tasty, flavorful Olive Oils; in fact, Colibri Wine Bar offers a tasting station for guests to discover the fresh, fruity flavors of Olea Olive Oils.

Meanwhile... while we've been sitting back enjoying these oils, the owners of Olea Farm have been busy - bringing in the Central Coast's first mobile olive oil harvester! This is a rather big deal. You see, generally, where there is great wine - there are also likely to be the elements that make great olive oil. Think Italy's Tuscany region, France's Provance, and the hot, dry climate of Southern Spain. Now you can add California's Central Coast to the list!

Over the last 10 years, olive orchards have sprouted up among and between the vast vineyard lands. Many of these farms are small operations, so to have a mobile processor available on the Central Coast is a huge boon to the growers, and will help to keep these microfarms on the map. Not to mention adding to the ever growing variety of olive oils we can add to our own tables.
