Elegant Evening in Downtown Paso

Are you getting in the holiday spirit yet? I know for me, as soon as the kids. Halloween costumes are put away and the copious amounts of candy are consumed, I am ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It all starts with the Christmas music—you know the season doesn’t really start until I get a little Bing Crosby on my iPod—and then the Starbuck’s holiday cups, and finally when the decorations start going up. For me there is something especially Christmas-y about Paso Robles. I remember when I was a kid we used to go to Paso to see one street that went all out on the Christmas lights. We’d parade up and down the street in total awe of the sheer voltage. Sure it wasn’t cold and it wasn’t snowy but it sure was Christmas!

Well, the season officially starts in Paso Robles with the Elegant Evening Downtown with their Holiday Open Houses at many of the downtown shops on Saturday November 12^th. Sure its still two weeks before Thanksgiving (oh my, is it really only 2 weeks!) and still another 4 weeks before Christmas. But this is the start of the holiday season officially!! Make sure you stop by downtown Paso Robles on Saturday between 5pm and 8pm for free refreshments, music, and entertainment. You’ll even be able to see the strolling mistrals singing their songs and telling their tales, and take a complimentary carriage ride around town.
