Explore Cambria’s Fascinating History
Explore Cambria's History at The Historical Museum
The Cambria Historical Museum is located in the heart of Cambria's East Village at 2251 Center Street. New Museum Hours: Friday — Sunday, 1 - 4 p.m., Monday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The Historical Society has purchased one of the original homes and restored it into the museum. The stories of Cambria's early settlers are interesting, as is the history of the land and some of the lesser known events. For example: Did you know that a tanker out of Morro Bay was attacked by a Japanese Sub with a Torpedo and sits on the bottom of the sea just off the Cambria coastline? And this happened just before Pearl Harbor!!
There's many, many interesting facts that the Historical Society would love to share with you. So, check out Cambria's history!
