Recently Stayed at El Colibri Hotel - Pleasantly Surprised
We recently stayed at El Colibri and were pleasantly surprised by the
lovely lobby area, large, luxurious guestroom with fabulous stone-paved
bathroom including separate shower with soothing "pebble" textured shower
floor, and the overall ambiance of the property. The flat screen color TV
and the leather sofa made it a very comfortable place to hang out with our
family.

The continental breakfast was varied and plentiful. Service from the
front desk to the room staff was friendly and polite.

Our daughter goes to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a
half an hour south of the hotel, but I would gladly drive the
additional one hour round trip to stay at this hotel, it's that good.

Great new hotel!!
Just up our alley. If you like white duvees, tall ceilings, lots of light, leather sofas, flat screen TVs, luxury bathrooms you will like this place. Our family loves modern clean upscale hotels where you feel like you would at home and El Colibri was just that too us. It felt like a 5 start experience. The location was also fun because our family walked everywhere, to town for dinner, to the beach, took the kids to the beach park (right behind the building), to taste wine etc. We highly recommend this hotel. We are adding it to our favorite boutique hotels in California.

Beautiful New Hotel in Cambria
This is a beautiful new hotel with lovely clean rooms that have a lot of amenities- hot tubs and fire places in the rooms.

New Hotel in Cambria
We've watched this hotel being built for the last year or two and our expectations were high when they finally opened. We were not disappointed. Although small in size (only 30 or so rooms) it has the feel of a hotel rather than a motel. The location, right at the entrance to Moonstone Beach and the intersection of Hwy. 1 was not a problem at all. Cambria is a quiet village, and there is no traffic in town or on the Highway at nighttime. We did not hear any traffic noise at all in our room.

The location was actually a plus, as it made it easy to return to the hotel after dining and shopping in Cambria, and from day trips to Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Big Sur. While you cannot see the ocean from the hotel, there is a wooden walkway about 50 feet north of the hotel that runs along the ocean the full length of Moonstone Beach. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It still had a "new" smell to it. The friendly and helpful staff provided great service and I highly recommend this hotel to adults looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation..
